Conveyor & Elevator Drives

We can assist with determining the correct speeds and power requirements and supply a range of drives including conventional gearmotors (shaft or foot mounted) and space-efficient motor pulleys.

We stock and service KYOWA motor pulleys as well as distributing other brands, including
VAN DER GRAAF.
A large range is available in diameters from 113 to 800mm with various speed and power combinations.
Full stainless steel construction suitable for use in the food industry is available and all motor pulleys can be rubber lagged as required.

The Van Der Graaf units are fully assembled in Australia up to 300mm diameter, ensuring fast delivery and reliable back-up.
The oil bath lubrication and cooling system requires minimal maintenance with the periodic oil change able to be performed in-situ: no need to remove the motor pulley from the conveyor.
Standard protection is to IP65.

Conveyor Idlers & Pulleys

PROK Conveyor Idlers and Pulleys.
The PROK symbol is synonymous with best quality heavy duty Australian made conveyor hardware and we have had a twenty year association with PROK.
A comprehensive range of IDLERS is available including plain steel and rubber disc type in a variety of roller diameters and bearing capacities to suit any conveyor application.

PROK PULLEYS incorporate the original Ringfeder hub design for long life heavy duty installations but can also be manufactured in lighter duty taperlock style hubs. Pulleys can be flat faced or crowned, plain steel, rubber lagged and grooved for wet installations or ceramic lagged for the ultimate drive coefficient.
We can provide pulleys specifically designed for your plant with guaranteed life and performance.

Northern Conveyors also supplies other specialised pulleys including Whittington self cleaning spirals which greatly enhance belt tracking and permanent magnet pulleys for separating rogue ferrous materials from conveyor burden.

Belt Cleaners

Effective conveyor belt cleaning is a key element in reducing maintenance and house keeping caused by inefficient material carry-back. The TAURUS TS10 Primary and TS20 Secondary scrapers feature replaceable long-life tungsten carbide blades and are suitable for installation on reversible conveyors.
The newly released TS30 Scraper has replaceable polyurethane blades.

For cleaning the inside surface of return belts and also to protect tail drums, bearings and belts from damage by spillage in loading zones we have developed a full range of V-PLOUGHS which are available from 450 to 2000mm belt widths.
We have supplied special units up to 3200mm.
Our V-ploughs and scrapers are used in mines, quarries and cement manufacturing plants throughout Australia.

Roller Conveyors

Northern Conveyors is the State Distributor for Adept Conveyor Technologies.

Adept specialises in the design and construction of a range of Gravity and Powered Roller conveyors and associated componentry such as merges, diverters, blade stops etc.

We can supply complete systems or individual components in a range of materials including galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, PVC and polypropylene.

Various bearings are available, from standard unground steel to specialised glass ball types.

Powered systems include fixed drives, accumulating drives, lineshaft and chain drives.

For true tracking through curves we recommend the use of tapered rollers.

Modular Belt Conveyors

SANKI Modular Belt Conveyors.
We are a major importer & stockist of Sanki, the most widely known Modular Belt Conveyor system in the world today.
Sanki was established in Australia in 1970 and many components are now locally made.
Standard widths of 350, 450 and 600mm. are stocked for both flat belts (for unitised loads) & troughed belts (for bulk materials).
Various drives are offered, including the standard Kyowa motor pulleys, shaft-mounted gear motors, pneumatic & hydraulic motors.
Standard lengths start from 2 metres but units up to 60 metres have been supplied.
Sanki conveyors are suitable for fixed plant as well as portable units and heavy-duty options are available.
Belts are selected to best suit each application and can be rubber or PVC with smooth top or patterned options.
Frames can be hot dip galvanised.
All spares are held in stock for quick delivery and complete units can be supplied in 2 days.

Replacement Rollers

We stock a large range of rollers, from light duty gravity conveyors to heavy duty mining and quarrying idlers. As well, we draw on extensive interstate stocks, which are normally delivered within 1-2 days.

Conveyor Belting

Cleated belts can be manufactured for special needs as well as guided belts for controlled tracking situations.
